OK, the truth is: If your company really cares about the world we live in, that's a really great reason for you to keep reading, because that's - probably - a match!
However, I think we are moving to fast, so let's know each other a little more...
I grew up in an entrepreneurial environment, where my parents owned an auto parts company, and this is the place me and my two younger brothers, spent, good part of our childhood.
After school, I used to help my father by answering the phone, and talking to customers. I was even a big encourager for my parents to get into online sales. I stayed there until 17 years old.
In 2014, I had the opportunity to move from a city with 600,000 inhabitants to the land of opportunities. As an exchange student, I went to Hazen Arkansas, with 1,400 inhabitants, where I made friends and stories, and since then, I have had a new family.
After graduating from high school, in addition to developing fluency in the English language, some things further enriched my experience:
🏈 After 32 years, as a team, we reached the Football state final, and i got the chance to play at the War Memorial Stadium. (We came in second place, but it was definitely worth all the dedication haha).
🏆 Also, I was honored by the US State of Arkansas with the title of "Arkansas Traveler", bestowed upon notable individuals serving as goodwill ambassadors. This certificate is signed by the governor and others.
🌎 But still, the greatest achievement of all was to have expanded my perceptions of the world forever.
In 2016/17, back in Brazil, convinced that entrepreneurship would be part of my life forever, I dedicated myself to the fullest, being approved for a scholarship at the State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC) in its Business Administration Center (ESAG), in Florianópolis, one of the most renowned schools in the country in the areas of Business Administration and Socioeconomic Sciences.
In 2017, I expanded my college experience beyond the classroom by joining the Sports and Integration Association. My passion for marketing was ignited during this time, particularly while serving as the Marketing strategist and Creative director of @choppadafloripa, an event with +5,000 attendees.
Breaking protocol slightly, what you're about to watch is just me doing what it takes to complete the mission. And yes, hopefully, it'll make you laugh too.
PS – Our team had the idea of making a jingle for this event. Turns out, finding someone to sing it was a tough task, so I took matters into my own hands. Composed, sang, and recorded it. Well...
Just a heads up, legal drinking age in Brazil is 18. I was only 20, and let's just say acting isn't my forte.
Due to the excellent impact of the dissemination and communication work carried out in the association, I was invited by UDESC university's sports and events division for my first professional experience. As an intern, I was responsible for managing the university's sports social media communications, and some of my activities included:
📲 Creation and management of social media.
🧠 Copywriting
🖼️ Brand Identity and logo design
🎨 Graphic design
♟️ Marketing Strategies
Major achievements include launching and rapidly expanding the university's first official sports page, along with designing the visual identity for the state's largest university sports event.
As 2017 came to an end, I set goals for the following year and realized that a new challenge would be essential. On excellent terms and with a sense of achievement from my last experience, the networking I've developed gave me the opportunity to work at OZ Digital Agency, where one of its main focuses was the organic creation and growth of Instagram pages.
Our journey began with finding international clients, selling advertising, expanding into an even broader experience when I took on additional roles in social media management. Some of my key activities included:
🌐 Creating strategies to connect international leads
📊 Mastering Instagram analytics
📢 Selling international Instagram advertising
👨🏻💻 Managing posts and providing customer support
One of the notable achievements, was the management of social media content accounts with +900.000 followers, such as @billionaireclassy.
At that time I lived in Florianópolis, which gained the status of “Silicon Island” for being the Brazilian national reference in technology. Where more than 5,800 companies had a turnover of R$10 billion per year, representing 15% of the city's GDP.
After a year working independently at OZ, encouraged by the startup dream, I challenged myself. While still performing remote tasks for the agency, I began searching for a sales internship. That's when I found this opportunity at Onsign.
OnSign is a professional CMS platform designed to manage digital signage screen networks in over 100 countries. This opportunity was directly linked to my experience in the USA, where the main activity involved connecting with new international clients through English communication. Some of my activities were:
📞 Cold call leads and engage in consultative conversations with current trial customers
🤝 Connect new customers by understanding their businesses
📺 Understand the signage market, software and hardwares to provide the right fit solutions
😀 Participating in a team environment, encouraging others, sharing my best practices, and learning
🆘 Solve customers problems
💬 Improve verbal and written communication
Work in a fast-paced and results-oriented startup environment marked the experience at this company as the beginning of my understanding of B2B dynamics, where i gained familiarity with both SAAS and CMS worlds as well.
I was excited, but once again, real life showed itself. Due to personal family problems, my financial situation worsened drastically in four months. My mother was not in a position to help me at all, and in order to continue studying and working in another city to graduate, I urgently needed to find a way to support myself on my own.
And at this point, Onsign couldn't afford any extra expenses, so I had to find a way. That's when the opportunity to work in the Inside Sales area of AltoQi came along. In this role, I worked on a commission basis, so my battle would be fought with my own desire to make my dreams come true.
With over 50,000 customers and 34 years of history, AltoQi Technology is the Brazilian leader in technological solutions for civil engineering projects, digital construction management, and BIM.
For nearly two years, I engaged in negotiations and closed deals with well-educated clients, including engineers, architects, and national construction companies.
During this period, my responsibilities included:
💰 Evaluating customer profiles and closing sales contracts through CRM
🎯 Analyzing target audience data to develop effective sales strategies
🏗️ Specializing in complex software for the civil engineering market
💡 Enhancing negotiation skills for deadlines, discounts, and payments.
🙏 Maintaining communication and providing daily customer guidance
I successfully tackled challenging goals, consistently achieving monthly results over five figures.
One of my proudest moments, happened during my second month of operation, when i exceed the overall sales target.
And also, the moment I acquired my first car, thanks to the opportunities provided by the company combined with continuous effort.
After that, we all know, the Pandemic arrived and completely changed our corporate world forever.
Mid-2020, I returned to the city where I was born, Joinville, working remotely, until after around 2 years at the last company, I received the opportunity that would change my entire market perception and become the most remarkable and solid professional experience I have ever had.
Through RA FER Representations LLC, I performed as a B2B Commercial Representative in the metalworking industry.
The journey began on diferent cities, on the factory floor of each one of the companies I represented, understanding and experiencing the details of the production and machining of complex cast iron and aluminum parts.
None of my other experiences had connection with what was about to come.
And is clear to me I was chosen for my soft skills and sales acumen, not technical expertise.
I accepted the transition from a comfortable office to a harsh production environment with green sand, dust, and hot metal pieces, during months.
But this learning curve didn't stop me from keep going, it was essential to becoming a high-performance salesperson in this area.
This determination helped me leave the foundry factory floor to close deals with companies exceeding $400 million in revenue.
Because of my redneck experience back in Arkansas, i wasn't a complete city slicker, but i can tell you...
Get your hands dirty (literally) every day in the metalworking IND. is not easy at all.
After dedicating months to learning and understanding what I was going to sell, my mentor took me to business meetings across various cities and states, allowing me to gain firsthand experience and learn from his expertise.
Another extremely important moment for consolidating a successful professional path.
Our business focused on identifying major players in sectors like agriculture or electronic equipment, with in-house production of machinery or products requiring raw or finished iron and aluminum parts.
💼 Spearheaded B2B meetings with industry giants, from various sectors.
🛣️ Weekly business trips to various states and companies.
⏳ Development of long-term business relationships.
🏭 Played a key role in consistently reaching a monthly revenue exceeding R$20 million across industries.
Even though I was grateful, over time, I came to understand myself and embrace the realization that I was born to create and to solve problems using my creativity. I’m fascinated by technology, human behavior, and content production, and I'm also extremely interested in learning new things.
Today I'm writing a new chapter of my story, seeking personal fulfillment, through a new job. And my ideal destination is an opportunity where I can hone my skills by solving problems efficiently and creatively.
A place where I can learn while achieving challenging goals.
I know what I’m capable of, and that’s why I want to be part of something that really makes a positive difference. Because as once an intelligent mind said: “The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit.”
So, now you know me! 😉
Remember when i said I'm on my way to even greater achievements?
Well, I want to take you with me, maybe you'll take me with you,
either way, let's do this together!
